I am writing to invite you to check out a new innovative approach to teaching US History you may want to share with your blog readers. Using an extensive on-line base of data and resources combined with student’s own iPods, http://www.historytunes.com teaches American History like never before. Resources for students include 50 highly engaging pop songs based on NYS Social Studies Standards AND NYS Regents exams, topic image and synopsis, and interactive lyrics and vocab for each song. Assessment resources for teachers include leveled tiered questions for each topic and test prep question including multiple choice, DBQ, and thematic essays.
